EFCC Arrests Hundreds in Lagos Crypto Scam Crackdown

Police raided a building in Lagos, Nigeria and arrested nearly 800 people for romance and cryptocurrency scams.The scammers convinced victims to invest in a fake website.  Over 100 foreigners were involved, but they used Nigerians to chat with the victims online.  The Nigerians did not know who they were working for and were paid in cash. Toxic Bread: Nigerians Exposed to Cancer-Causing Chemicals

Bread in Nigeria may be dangerous! Researchers found high levels of harmful chemicals like lead and cadmium in bread from many Nigerian cities. This is because some bakers use potassium bromate, a banned substance, to make bread rise faster. Regular consumption of this contaminated bread can increase the risk of cancer, kidney problems, and other health issues. Read More

In many developed countries, strict food safety regulations and regular inspections ensure that bread and other food products are safe for consumption.These countries often have advanced testing facilities to detect harmful substances and take swift action against offenders. While Nigeria has taken steps to regulate the use of harmful chemicals, more needs to be done to enforce these regulations and ensure consumer safety.
